Coverville

February 9

The other day I heard Dolly Parton singing Led Zepplin’s Stairway to Heaven and Melissa Ethridge’s version of I Will Always Love You. No, it was not a nightmare and was actually very pleasant. I even listened TWICE. And all thanks to my favorite new podcast Coverville.

My love of podcasts is young. See there are a couple days of the week that in our current work/family schedule that I am at home with no kids and no husband. The silence was nice, at first, but then began to crawl under my skin and thus I started loading new podcasts into my Google Reader to fill the void. Having found some good ones, I’ve graduated onto taking the Ipod with me on my way to work and even on trips to the grocery store.

I’m looking forward to hearing more unusual music, being introduced to artists I don’t know and expanding my horizons. Check it out and let me know if you like it too!

  • "Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable." — C.S. Lewis
