Who’s ready to read?

February 4

The friend that dropped that awesome quote in my lap and I got talking. I’ve never read the book that said quote is about and she hasn’t read it in years. So together we will be reading C.S. Lewis’ Till We Have Faces. Turns out that it was sitting… nay, hiding! in my husband’s collection of Lewis that I have only begun to read. And at only about 70 pages in length is very do-able.

Would you like to read with us?!

Kate and I will be posting our thoughts and pithy remarks as we read and invite you to read and pith along with us.

We’ll probably start next week, so head out to the local library to pick up your copy. You’ve got lots of time. And let one of us know if you’d like to blog along with us. Circles are always always open for more.

As soon as we decide on one, we will post the reading schedule. Though I hate calling it that. It is, after all, about growth, friendship and hopefully… faces.

Hey, haven’t read that book in years. I’ve got a lot on the go just now but maybe I’ll play along.

  • "Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable." — C.S. Lewis
