Just finished these Ptelea and they are amazing! I brought Mecandes one and he snuck back into the kitchen when my back was turned for milk and several more! haha

Oh, but ya know – I only had 1/2 cup of molasses, but they still came out. And I did throw in a big handful of chocolate chips for good measure, but they’d be equally yummy without.

Thanks so much for this one. It’s my favorite oatmeal cookie now. :)

  • "Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable." — C.S. Lewis
